Big Bad Gus And The Family Blog

We are home and I have been trying to find time to post, but its just not working.  I will have a day by day of our trip up soon!  :)  Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We made it here safe and sound on Monday.    Since then we have been down to the pier (which is just next door), laid by the pool, taken Gus to the beach where he could have shoveled sand ALL DAY,  cruised Marco Island on a private catamaran tour and went to the mall to get Laura [...]

Today I was reminded why I love Craigslist.  In the past, we have bought some toys for Gus and I bought a pair of Seven Jeans (for almost 1/3 retail!) that fit perfect!!   Our purchase today was a stroller that I have had my eye on for a long while.     The Maclaren Volo is an umbrella stroller [...]

The doctor thinks the rash is viral and said it could last up to a week!   And on a crappier note,  the antibiotics Gus was on since last Thursday  (8 days ago) have not worked.   He has been upgraded from one ear infection to TWO and she is now positive that he has a sinus [...]

Gus has been coughing for the last 3 days like crazy and then this morning he woke up with a full body rash.  May be a side effect of the antibiotics…we have an appointment at 11am to find out.   Wish us luck. 

We went down to the little carnival at the city park in our town.   It was a lot of fun.  They had a special toddler section and lots of games and activities.  They had this little trackless train that Gus got to ride….I loved it and have my heart set on having it for Gus’ 2nd [...]

We took G to a little place near the house.  I noticed they had a little car that the kids sit in when they get their hair cut and I thought Gus would like it.   He loved ‘driving’ the car along with beeping and zooming.  :)  He did well for his second trim. 

We are now starting our ABC’s and 123’s.  Daddy or I say “1!, 2!” and Gus replies “3!” really loud and throws up his hands.   Very cute! 
PS- I took a trip to the doc yesterday and I have bronchitis.  Tons of Fun.  Really tired.   Now Gus and I are both on antibiotics. 

Well, Gus woke up Thursday morning with a fever.   So, we took him into the doctor that day and he has an ear infection in one ear (his first one) and a slight sinus infection.   We are taking antibiotics for 2 weeks!  Also regularly taking Motrin and Benadryl.   At this point, he is feeling better [...]
