Big Bad Gus And The Family Blog

I’m only over a month late on this one!  Anyway, Meme sent us some moola for Gus’s birthday and I finally bought him this cool little lunchbox set I had wanted for a long while.   You can check them out here.   Isn’t it cute??

As I type this, Gus and daddy are on the couch watching their first ever Star Wars movie together (at least parts of it that I find okay and acceptable).   They are watching episode 1 and Gus wants to watch the pod race.  I guess it’s my fault since I bought Charlie a Star Wars book a few years back and it got into Gus’s pile after I cleaned out the attic last month.  Since then, Gus wants to read it and look at the pictures lots.  He can already name ALL of the characters.  Some of them, I don’t even know.    Let the Star Wars Mania begin!!!  I hope I’m ready.   Yoda is cute, though.

So, I am starting my first Bradley series next Wednesday evening!  Wish me luck!  :)   I got a call about 3 weeks ago and she said she would call back…….I had almost lost hope when she called back tonight.   The couple seem really sweet, live only minutes away,  and are both Aggies.  :)  That’s just a bonus!   I am beyond excited!   Gig ‘Em!

Last weekend was the final game of the spring tee-ball season.   The boys had a great time playing ball, playing in the dirt, and getting their trophies.  Gus is already wanting to play next year!  :)  

As usual, some of the boys were done before the game was done.  Gus and Conner played in the dirt for the last 10 minutes of the game.  :) 

Last night marked the first night Gus spent in the ‘big’ bed!  He did great.  He went right to sleep and even waited for me to go up there and get him this morning.  No joke!!   He was past ready and was just so excited to sleep in a bed like mommy and daddy’s.  :)  It’s really cute….he didn’t even want to get up this morning.  Let’s hope that lasts.  :)   They really do grow up fast!

We had G’s B-day party this year at Goin’ Bananas, the little bouncy house place near the house.   the kiddos had lots of fun bouncing, playing, snacking, and eating pizza.    Here are some of my most favorite pics of Gus and his friends.

At the end of April, Baskin Robbins held it’s annual 31 Cent scoop night and we had to go!  :)  The Barrett Family met us there and lots of messy ice cream was eaten by all.  Here are a few of my favorite shots. 

You guessed it, this morning Gus POOPED in the potty for the first time ever!  :)  Not sure if he meant to or if it just happened, but he sure did it and I am sooo very proud!  Now, if we could make it a regular occurence……that would be great!   :)
